Kali is a master at inspiring action through spot-on communication. Literally. She holds a Master’s in Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Georgia. A big believer in learning by doing, she earned that degree while serving as Director of Communications for the UGA HEROs nonprofit for children affected by HIV/AIDS—AND managing social media for the University library.

Well-versed in researching, reporting, strategizing, communicating across mediums and audiences, and nailing every deadline, Kali’s talents could have taken her just about anywhere. But when it came time to channel all that education and experience into her next challenge, the opportunity to join Vivid IP stood out. Maybe it was that Communication Law course that piqued her interest in grad school. Maybe it was the chance to help clients create, share, and protect their brands in legally powerful ways. Or maybe it was her instant connection with our Vivid IP team. In any case, Kali dove in headfirst and hasn’t looked back.

Bringing serious jill-of-all-trades skills to her role as Paralegal, Kali handles everything from filing trademark documents, to liaising with clients, to supercharging our docketing and reporting systems, with true grit and positivity—values at the heart of Vivid IP. Plus, she speaks beautiful French. (Mais oui!)

Meet Kali

WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB (SO FAR)?

"I love our team. They inspire me to always reach for more when it comes to my goals. I also love seeing the trademark application process come to fruition. Nothing compares to seeing a client’s excitement after their mark receives a registration certificate.”

WHAT BIG WORK GOALS ARE YOU CURRENTLY TACKLING?

“Mastering the International Trademark application process and streamlining how we keep up with these marks for clients. Learning the ins-and-outs of the Trademark ID Manual, so we can offer even more budget-friendly trademark applications to our clients. And earning my Paralegal Certification.”

WHAT’S ONE EXPERIENCE THAT SHAPED YOU?

“Getting to work with a nonprofit in Kenya called Care for AIDS that our family friend co-founded. That trip sparked my passion for supporting individuals with HIV/AIDS and ending the stigma surrounding it."

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR PERSONAL PASSIONS?

"I love live music, especially indie and rap. I also love running. I grew up competing in track and cross country but had to stop after a few injuries. After a lot of yoga and strength training, I’m ready to tackle my first half-marathon!"
